Alvin Huff named 6th District Oratorical Contest Winner

GMC Prep Senior Alvin Huff won the American Legion 6th District Oratorical competition in Perry, Ga. on February 16, 2008. Mr. Huff previously won the Morris-Little Post 6 competition and represented Post 6 in the district contest. He will now advance to the Area Competition, also in Perry, Ga. next weekend.

Valdosta Hosts Blood Drive

On February 14, the Student Service League of the Valdosta Campus hosted a Blood Drive. Sixty – four students, faculty and staff members donated blood during the drive. Prep Students Deliver Valentines to Green Acres

Georgia Military College prep school seniors from Colonel Bob Owens’ Leadership, Education and Training class visited Green Acres Nursing Home on Valentine’s Day to give flowers, cards and picture frames to the residents. The cards and picture frames were made by students in GMC’s art classes.
